Create a beautiful and functional rope bowl using your sewing machine! In this beginner-friendly class, you’ll learn how to transform simple cotton-braided rope into a stylish handmade bowl perfect for holding keys, jewelry, sewing supplies, or home décor items.
Students will be guided through the process of coiling and stitching rope, shaping bowls of various sizes, and adding optional decorative touches such as colored thread, fabric accents, or wrapped rope details. Along the way, you’ll gain confidence with sewing curved seams, managing bulk, and creating three-dimensional projects.
No prior rope bowl experience is necessary. Basic sewing machine knowledge is recommended. Bring your machine, white cotton sewing thread/bobbin with matching thread, and leave with a beautiful rope project!
Note: Your machine must have a zig-zag stitch option. Straight stitch machines will not work.
Please bring: your sewing machine and white cotton sewing thread/bobbin with matching thread. All other materials will be provided for you.
