Candace Kruk and her husband Justin moved into The Orchards in 2013. They welcomed their baby girl Wrenne in January 2021. They absolutely love the community! Candace is serving her fifth term as a Resident Director.

Candace and her husband launched Skinny Tax & Accounting in 2015. Their goal was to treat clients like family and help them to achieve their goals through strategy, investment and implementation. Whether you need customized bookkeeping or help with your personal returns, Candace is an energetic and enthusiastic problem-solving machine who will still take the time to get to know you. Candace believes your relationship with your accountant should be like a friendship; rooted in open and honest communication. Her many years of experience have allowed her to create a network of like-minded professionals that she can draw on as she works for her clients.

Skinny Tax is a proud sponsor of The Orchards Resident Associaton. As Candace’s business grows within the community, she is revelling in the unique opportunity to get to know her neighbours on a deeper level; sharing their opinions and challenges, while getting to learn about their lives. Candace strives to support and help grow her community by connecting people and supporting other businesses.

On the rare occasion when she does step away from work, she enjoys travelling, camping and gardening. She also has a passion for design, which you’ll clearly see when you visit the SkinnyTax office!

Hello my name is Happy Vyas. I started my journey in Canada as an international student in September 2009. I moved with my husband from Toronto in 2014 and we bought our very first house in Canada in the beautiful Orchards Community in October 2015. As we started to settle in the community we started finding out about the events and activities organized by the community and attended a few events. Currently in my professional life I work very closely with post secondary students and see how student leadership gives an opportunity to give back to the community. in 2020, when I found out the opportunity to get nominated to be a part of the Orchards Residents Association and serve as a Resident Director I knew right away that I wanted to get involved. I joined as a Resident Director so that I could bring thoughts, ideas, suggestions, concerns forward from community members and get involved in anyway possible. I look forward to serving to the community and being available in being an active member of the Orchards Community.

Lindsey
My name is Lindsey MacDermott and my family and I moved into the Orchards in 2019 form BC. We were drawn to the amenities of the ORA and the community culture.

We enjoy participating in the resident events and you can often find us skating through the winter. I enjoy crafting, a warm coffee, and you might see me running the paths early in the morning.

I love the strong sense of community this neighbourhood has and I hope I can continue to build that spirit during my time on the board.
