Positive Covid Case

RE: COVID-19 Positive Case Update

Dear Residents, As you are aware, the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve. We want to inform you that on November 9, Orchards Residents Association was notified of a confirmed positive COVID-19 case among our personnel.

The health and safety of our residents and employees is our top priority. We are following the guidance of AHS to ensure necessary measures continue to be in place to protect all residents and employees.

In this specific case, the individual was last on the premises November 5 and is currently recovering and self-isolating. At this time, the few co-workers who were in close personal contact have been notified as part of AHS’s contact tracing process, and everyone is taking the appropriate steps to reduce risk of further transmission, including following isolation and quarantine instructions. The personnel did not come into contact with any residents or guests during the close contact window identified by AHS.

ORA continues to follow all guidance from Alberta Health Services to help prevent the spread of COVID19, including deep cleaning and disinfecting all surfaces and fixtures in the facility, completing a health screening questionnaire with everyone entering the facility, limiting the number of people gathering for programs & events, wearing masks, and promoting physical distancing.

The RA remains open for residents with continued health and safety measures in effect.
